Request an initial consultation

The initial information provided in the form below will enable me to assess what advice I can offer. You will then receive your free 10 minute consultation at a time convenient to you. If as a result of this call, I feel that you are already doing everything possible, then I will tell you so. If, on the other hand, I feel I am able to give targeted advice that offers real benefit to you, I will propose what advice is on offer and what charge you can expect to pay for that advice.

  • My usual practice is to provide initial advice over the telephone or, if necessary, in person, at a rate of £85 for up to an hour with an hour’s charge being the minimum. This hour may include additional research, if necessary. I would not normally expect many cases to require more than an hour, but if you do require further advice or help reviewing appeals or exclusions paperwork, then each subsequent hour will be charged at £70. Every case will be concluded with a written letter summarising key points. This letter is included in the price.
  • People who can provide proof of being in receipt of means-tested benefits will receive preferential rates.

  4. There is no guarantee that the advice given will achieve a particular outcome.
  5. The advice given is non-attributable. As it carries no professional weight or legal standing, its source should not be quoted.

If you are enquiring about an area, please state. A reasonable number of address queries will count within one ‘consultation’.

Please note this service is not to replace official sources of advice (eg relevant County Council Officers) and I would always advise persuing these first.
